Application in airplanes

The field of application of B+B pressure transmitters is very versatile, which is why applications in aircraft are also among our strengths. They range from filling systems, lubrication systems in subways/trams to the restoration of old fighter planes.

Our project partner Stock Flight Systems deals with data recording in aviation of various aircraft types and sizes. Especially the B+B pressure transmitters are used here to measure the oil and boost pressure as well as to monitor the delivery pressure of the fuel pump on the 12-cylinder engine of the Messerschmitt Bf109. The Messerschmitt Bf109 was built from 1936 to 1945 by aircraft manufacturer Bayrische Flugzeugwerke AG / Messerschmitt AG and is considered the most widely built fighter aircraft in history. It was used in the German Air Force as a fighter-bomber, night fighter and reconnaissance aircraft.

In most cases, several of our B+B pressure transmitters are installed in an aircraft, which then serve, among other things, to record and monitor the pressure downstream of the fuel pump. In this way, the transmitters contribute to the aircraft being certified as a “historical one-off”. For this, the flight performance and flight characteristics must be proven again with the help of concrete data recording.

Our pressure transmitters are characterized by specific features. Accordingly, they are flexible, precise and individually applicable. Here we offer our customers high-quality and highly accurate pressure measurements. And absolutely Made in Germany! Due to the differentiability of the application, the requirements are also different. For this reason, we adapt to the customer’s application and realize customized and precisely fitting solutions.
